Reusch Signs on as Official Supplier
October 23, 2008 - Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL) News Release
The Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL-Pro) is pleased to announce it has agreed to terms with Continental Sports Supply to make Reusch the league's Official Supplier of Goalkeeper Equipment for the 2008/09 season. Financial terms of the deal will not be disclosed.
Reusch will keep PASL-Pro goalkeepers sharp by supplying jerseys, gloves, and pants. "We're fortunate to be working with a growing league like the PASL-Pro and we wish them much prosperity in their inaugural season," said David Banning, President of Continental Sports.
In 1934, when Karl Reusch manufactured his first pair of gloves in a small workshop in Metzingen, he had a vision: to create incomparable, innovative gloves of the highest possible quality.
Reusch stayed true to the sportive challenge of creating gloves for the special requirements of soccer and winter sports. In the goalkeeper's case, this meant evolving the simple hand protector into a functional piece of catching equipment. The ongoing success proved Reusch right: Since 1974, almost every soccer world championship title has been won with gloves by Reusch, and the majority of winter sports athletes rely on Reusch's gloves.
With seventy years of experience, Reusch is now the undisputed world leader in developing and marketing of soccer and winter sports gloves and accessories. Competence built in decades and the close co-operation with sports professionals is constantly incorporated into the development of new technologies. The results are innovative products of uncompromised quality and reliability.
"The PASL-Pro is honored to be working with a storied brand like Reusch and we look forward to a long relationship," said PASL-Pro Commissioner Kevin Milliken.
PASL-Pro is a new professional arena soccer league whose inaugural season kicks off October 25, 2008 when the Stockton Cougars host the Colorado Lightning. PASL-Pro consists of 8 US teams, the CMISL, and LMFR. The San Diego Sockers have been added for the 2009/10 season. PASL-Premier just completed its 10th season as the nation's top amateur arena soccer league. PASL-Pro and PASL-Premier are members of Federacion Internacional de Futbol Rapido (FIFRA).
