
Regan, Moss net additional NLL awards

SAN JOSE - San Jose Stealth forward Mike Regan and defenseman Jim Moss were recognized today by Inside Lacrosse Magazine for their stellar play during the 2003-04 season. Regan received the award for Best American Player and Moss was named Best Defensive Player as voted on by fellow NLL players. A complete listing of results from the poll will be published in the May 14 issue of Inside Lacrosse Magazine.
Regan, 26, posted 73 points (44 goals, 29 assists) in 16 games this season, solidifying him as one of the premier scorers in the League. His totals ranked him fourth in the league in scoring and second in game-winning goals.
The five-foot-ten, 190-pound native of Albany, New York was selected by the Albany Attack in the second round (10th overall) in the 2001 NLL Entry Draft.
Moss, 27, posted 16 points (5 goals, 11 assists), picked up 82 loose balls this season and was named alternate captain for the Western Division 2003-04 All-Star team. Last season he tallied 26 points (11 goals, 15 assists) in 16 games for the Albany Attack, now the Stealth, including being named the NLL Defenseman of the Year.
The six-foot, 200-pound native of Toronto, Ontario was signed by Albany as a free agent on March 7, 2001.
Additional categories voted on by the players included "Best NLL Player," "Best Leader," "Best Trash Talker on the Floor" and "Best Dressed on Game-Day."
