Redbirds to host Cardinals in '07

Memphis, Tenn. - For the first time since 2004 the St. Louis Cardinals will play an exhibition game in Memphis against their Triple-A team the Memphis Redbirds.

The teams will play on Friday, March 30, 2007 at 7:10 p.m. with the Redbirds beginning their Pacific Coast League schedule on Thursday, April 5, 2007 against Oklahoma. The last time the Cardinals played a pre-season game against the Redbirds in Memphis they played in the World Series against Boston.

"What better way to go into our 10th Redbirds season than to host the Cardinals," President/General Manager Dave Chase said. "In 2000, we opened AutoZone Park with them and now we launch our 10th season with the Cards."

Premium seating for the exhibition game will be made available to ticket plan holders, beginning Wednesday. A limited number of single game tickets will also go on sale Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. For more information on ticket packages call (901) 721-6000 or visit memphisredbirds.com.
