Red Wings Legends Series Skates On

MIDLAND, MI - The Great Lakes Loons announced today plans to continue their exciting hockey-themed promotion known as the Red Wings Legends Series presented by MidMichigan Health. In 2012, the series will again feature six Loons home games paying tribute to former Red Wings greats. Three of the games will include a visit from a Detroit Red Wings great and three games will include a commemorative bobblehead of Red Wings legends. Loons fans can purchase the Red Wings Legends Ticket Package for just $54 for all six games.

The Red Wings Legends Series will begin on May 23 and continue every following Wednesday home game throughout the regular season. The other dates are June 13, July 11, July 25, August 15 and August 22.

The Red Wings Legends Ticket Package is available now through the Loons ticket office at 989.837.BALL. With the package, fans will receive box seats to each of the Loons six home games in the series, three Red Wings bobblehead giveaways and the opportunity to meet the three Red Wings legends visiting Dow Diamond.

"The Red Wings Legends Series was well received by our fans," said Chris Mundhenk, Loons vice president of marketing and entertainment. "We are excited to partner with MidMichigan Health to deliver another great Red Wings Legends Series in 2012."

Specific Red Wings players to be featured in the series will be announced later, as they become available.

The Loons ticket staff is currently taking orders for full-season, mini, and group ticket-packages for the 2012 season, as well as the Red Wings Legends Series presented by MidMichigan Health.
