Jamestown, NY - The Jamestown Rebels, proud members of the North American Hockey League, have announced the signing of forward Emerick Nadeau to tender agreement for the 2020-21 season.

"We couldn't be more excited to have signed Emerick to a tender," said Rebels Head Coach/General Manager Joe Coombs. "Emerick is very skilled with a great shot. He is one of those impact players we have been looking to add."

Nadeau, a left hand-shooting winger born in Blainville, QC, CAN, has spent his last two seasons suiting up in the Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL). The 2018-19 campaign saw Nadeau post 18 points (11 goals, 7 assists) in 53 regular season games, while also adding 3 goals and an assist in 9 playoff appearances while with the Brockville Braves.

The 6'1, 196-pound forward saw his stats increase heavily during his sophomore season in the CCHL as a member of the Cornwall Colts. Nadeau registered a killer 27 goals to go along with 19 assists, good for 46 points, in 57 games during the 2019-20 season.

Coombs will be looking for Nadeau to step directly into a large role on the team next season.

"We expect Mr. Nadeau to make an immediate impact in and on all facets of our team," said Coombs. "He will most certainly add to our power play."

While his entire hockey career has been spent north of the border, Nadeau is excited nonetheless to bring his game to the United States and suit up for the Rebels next season.

"It's really an honor to have signed with Jamestown," stated Nadeau. "It is such a great organization with great class and great history." Nadeau continued, "I'm really looking forward to be coached by coach Coombs. He has a lot of experience and I can't wait to learn from him. I'm going to try my best to help this team bring back the cup in Jamestown."
