Philadelphia Rebels News Release

Jamestown, New York - We are pleased to announce that we have used our fourth Tender of the season on Forward Mason Kruse, effective 2019-2020. Kruse will be turning 18 this coming March.

Mason has spent the past three seasons playing for his local high school team, Brainerd High (USHS-MN), accumulating 74 games played (32g-44a). He has also played for the Great Plains (UMHSEHL) for the past two seasons, totaling 29 games played (7g-12a). Next season will be Mason's first year in junior hockey.

The 6'1", 181lb right-handed shooter had this to say about becoming a tender with the Rebels, "I chose to tender with Jamestown over other teams and leagues because I think and believe it is the best decision for my development based on what I have heard about the team and their success". Mason added on to it by saying "I like the culture that the coaches and staff give off. Joe Coombs is a very personable and approachable person that cares about his players. I really look forward to playing in the NAHL, doing what I can to help the team, and opening up a new chapter of development as a player".

Billy Pugliese, the Director of Scouting for the Rebels spoke very highly of the Brainerd, MN native by stating, "Mason will add skill, size, and speed to our right side. We are expecting him to be an impact player". We are all extremely excited to see what Mason has to offer next season.
