Rattlesnakes Announce 1st Open Try-Out for 2013 Season

The Laredo Rattlesnakes a member of the Lonestar Football League (LSFL) announces its first open try-out for the upcoming 2013 season. The try-out will he held on Saturday November 17, 2012 at Father McNaboe Park here in Laredo. The park is located at 408 Rienda Drive, Laredo, Texas 78045. Registration will begin at 8:00am with the try-out running from 9:15am-1:00pm. The cost of the try-out will be $40 (CASH OR MONEY ORDER ONLY). No checks or credit cards will be accepted.

After a successful inaugural season in 2012, the Laredo Rattlesnakes are looking to build on that momentum in its quest for a League Championship in 2013. The Rattlesnakes are looking for the best local talent to help achieve that goal.

Head Coach Rod Miller, along with the Rattlesnake coaching staff, will be evaluating players in a pro combine-style try-out. Participants will be evaluated in the 40 yard dash, short-shuttle, and the standing broad jump. After the physical testing, participants will then be evaluated in position specific drills, 1-on-1, and 4-on-4 group work.

Lastly, ALL participants will be REQUIRED to fill-out a player questionnaire and sign a try-out participation waiver. The try-out will be conducted on an outdoor grass soccer field, so football cleats are strongly recommended but not required. You are also encouraged to bring a bottle of water or a sports drink as it will not be supplied at the try-out.

** Once you enter the Park turn right. The field for the try-out will be the last soccer field on the left (where the round-about is located)**
