Arizona Rattlers News Release
Phoenix, AZ â The Arizona Rattlers have signed kicker Anthony Brenner, the team announced today. Brenner was the Rattlers kicker when they won the ArenaBowl in 1997. He spent last season with the Colorado Crush. The team also released kicker Chris Sailer and quarterback Chris Hixson. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Brenner is a five-year AFL veteran, having kicked with the Charlotte Rage in addition to the Rattlers and Crush. In 2004, Brenner finished 11-32 on field goals and 98-106 on PATs. His 131 points were a career high, eclipsing the 113 points he scored for Arizona during the 1997 championship season. During last year's playoffs, Brenner was perfect, nailing all three field goals and ten extra points.
In his career, Brenner has made 54-131 field goals and 240-268 PATs for 402 points.
The Rattlers return home on Saturday, February 19th to battle the Colorado Crush at America West Arena. Kickoff is set for 7:30 PM. For ticket information, call 602-514-TDTD, or log on to www.AZRattlers.com.
