Rangers sign Brian Villanueva as Quarterback

The Louisiana Rangers have announced the signing of Las Vegas native and former Fort Valley State Universtity play caller Brian Villanueva as its Quarterback for the Louisiana Rangers 2002 season.

Villanueva has played in the QB position for 2 years at West Hills College in California and 2 years at Fort Valley State University in Fort Valley, Georgia. Prior to that he played as quarterback at Eldorado High School in Las Vegas, NV.

Brian's arrival was preceeded with comments on the Rangers web site message board that if he signed that the Rangers would have a "Gold Mine".

The signing of Villanueva at the Quarterback position gets the Rangers ready for the opening of the 2002 season on Saturday night against the former IPFL Champions for 2001, the Tennessee ThunderCats from Knoxville, TN.

The Tennessee ThunderCats moved from the IPFL to the NIFL and are in the North Division of the Atlantic Conference. Tickets are on sale for Saturday nights game, which starts at 7:05 PM. For ticket information, call (318) 443-1110.
