(LANCASTER, CA) - Four home runs and a stellar pitching performance from Patrick Corbin sparked Rancho Cucamonga to 7-0 victory over the JetHawks at Clear Channel Stadium Thursday. It was the fourth straight loss for Lancaster. Angel Castillo put the Quakes on the board with a two-run home run off Patrick Urckfitz in the top of the second.

Two innings later, Gabe Jacobo blasted a solo home run to extend the Quakes advantage to 3-0.

Three runs was more than enough support for Corbin, who tossed six scoreless innings and allowed just three hits. In two starts against the JetHawks, Corbin is 2-0 and has pitched 12 scoreless innings.

The Quakes added four runs in the seventh on a pair of home runs and an untimely throwing error from JetHawks first baseman David Flores.

Urckfitz (4-3) turned in his first career quality start, allowing three earned runs in six innings of work with two walks and four strikeouts.

With the loss, the JetHawks fell to 5-10 in the second half and 28-57. Rancho Cucamonga improved to 9-6 and 48-37 overall.

The JetHawks will seek to snap their losing streak in the finale of the three-game series Friday. Lancaster will start right-hander Kyle Greenwalt (3-6, 5.45 ERA). Rancho Cucamonga is expected to counter with right-hander Ryan Chaffee (3-4, 7.99 ERA). First pitch is slated for 7:00 p.m. Tune in for all the live action beginning with the JetHawks Pre-Game Show at 6:45 p.m. on www.jethawks.com/csn and News Talk 1380-AM.
