Puerto Rico Capitanes Return to PBL

April 8, 2010 - Premier Basketball League (PBL) News Release

The Premier Basketball League is pleased to announce that both the league and the Puerto Rico Capitanes have settled all differences between both parties, and the Capitanes will return to the PBL and participate in the 2009-10 postseason.

"Puerto Rico's players earned the right to participate in the postseason by virtue of their stellar record," said Thomas E. Doyle, Esq., President of the Premier Basketball League. "While all parties may have their differences, whatever issues were previously raised throughout this season will be dealt with off the court and in a reasonable manner. What matters most to the Premier Basketball League is the game of basketball, first and foremost, and the integrity of the sport."

The unplayed game between Puerto Rico and the Rochester Razorsharks, which was originally scheduled for April 3 in Puerto Rico, will now be played on Sunday, April 11 in Arecibo, P.R.

The final playoff schedule will be announced at the conclusion of the regular season.
