Prospect League Players of the Week

June 5, 2017 - Prospect League (Prospect) News Release

ELKVILLE, Ill. - The Prospect League, in conjunction with Pointstreak and Blue Star Sports, is pleased to name Dallas Hall (Chillicothe Paints; Miami University) and Quentin Miller (Kokomo Jackrabbits; Butler University) as the first Player and Pitcher of the Week of the 2017 season.

Hall, from Cincinnati, Ohio, helped the Paints start the season 5-1 by hitting .600 (12-20) during the first week of games. The five-foot-eight outfielder hit two home runs, a double, and a triple. Hall drove in six runs, scored seven times, walked twice, was hit by two pitches and struck out only twice. His .600 batting average leads the Prospect League through the first six games of the summer.

Miller, from Pendleton, Ind., appeared in three games out of the bullpen for the Jackrabbits, earned a win and only allowed opponents to hit .043 against him. In seven innings of work, the six-foot-three right-hander allowed just one hit, walked two, and struck out ten. He didn't give up a run, earned or otherwise.
