Pro Volleyball Federation, Girl Talk Announce Partnership

February 21, 2024 - Pro Volleyball Federation (PVF) News Release

Pro Volleyball Federation - the premier women's volleyball league in North America - has announced a partnership with Girl Talk, a non-profit mentoring organization for young girls in the United States. The organization is the first national nonprofit partner for the League.

"One of the goals of Pro Volleyball Federation is to empower our players to grow their brand and be prepared to be leaders once their playing careers are complete," touted CEO Jen Spicher. "The work Girl Talk does with girls and young women aligns perfectly with that goal."

The program is being launched in conjunction with the Columbus Fury home match against the Omaha Supernovas on Wednesday, February 21. In-match elements and a broadcast interview are among items that are part of the planned introduction to Pro Volleyball Federation fans. Additional activations will be planned in the future.

"We could not be prouder to serve as the league's first National Nonprofit Partner and share our mission of inspiring all girls to be confident leaders through peer-to-peer mentoring," boasted Kaela Chang, Girl Talk Executive Director. "Together, we are going to make a REAL impact on the next generation."

In partnership with Pro Volleyball Federation, Girl Talk will serve and develop the leader in middle school girls nationwide through weekly peer-to-peer mentoring, leadership development programming, and the organizations flagship summer camp experience in Atlanta.

"The athletes who compete in Pro Volleyball Federation are part of a community that cultivates belonging and helps each girl realize her unique voice and potential, noted Girl Talk Founder Haley Kilpatrick Dozier. "We are looking forward to working with the League players as they serve as incredible role models to Girl Talk girls."

As Girl Talk and Pro Volleyball Federation both grow nationally, the vision is to continue seeing girls empower one another on and off the court. The goal is for every Pro Volleyball Federation team to inspire its communities through a team branded Girl Talk Club. Players will partner with young leaders through community service projects and share tailored Girl Talk sports themed curriculum at youth volleyball camps.

Girl Talk is and always has been free for any high school girl to start and lead in her community. Participants in Girl Talk report a 100 percent increase in their self-confidence, with 95 percent touting an increased sense of belonging. Over the past 21 years, Girl Talk has grown from serving 50 girls in Albany, Ga. to serving more than 75,000 girls throughout the United States and beyond.
