Pro Basketball Coming Back To Kansas City

September 10, 2008 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release


Kansas City, MO. The Kansas City Spartans is a proud team in the distinguished American Basketball Association (ABA). The team will begin playing this coming December. The Spartans are committed to competing at the highest level, by recruiting and training quality players that strive for excellence.

Kansas City Spartans will provide a fun, safe, and family friendly environment for sports enthusiasts and all sports fans. The team will offer community programs that will have a strong emphasis on literacy in the urban area of the city.

The Kansas City Spartans will hold its first press conference on September 17, 2008 at 1pm at Ilus Davis Park which is located downtown Kansas City at 11th and Oak. The press conference will allow us to introduce this new and exciting team to the city.

The Spartans website also provides detailed information about the history of the ABA and owner Milton Thomas. It also provides information about upcoming events, game schedules and player information.
