ORLANDO, FL - FRIDAY, DECEMBER 10, 2010 - Tight End Jason Pociask became the fifth member from the 2010 Florida Tuskers team to sign with the National Football League when he joined the practice squad of the Dallas Cowboys.
Pociask was one of the final cuts of the Cowboys this past August. He reported to Tuskers training camp one week before the start of the regular season. He became the team's starter in Week 2 and appeared in all nine games for the Tuskers. Pociask finished the regular season with 12 receptions for 153 yards.
"Jason is an outstanding tight end that excelled at both blocking and catching the ball for us this season and played a major role in our success this season." Head Coach Jay Gruden said.
With the signing, Pociask joins four other Tuskers players who have signed with the NFL. Earlier this week, running back Dominic Rhodes was signed to the active roster of the Indianapolis Colts. Defensive tackle Eric Moore is on the active roster of the New England Patriots; while fullback James Develin and linebacker J Leman were signed to the practice squads of the San Diego Chargers and Cleveland Browns respectively.
