Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees News Release
Moosic, PA - The last beam of steel will soon be erected at the reconstructed PNC Field, and the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees wants the community to be a part of the historic moment.
From 3 p.m. until dusk on Tuesday, October 9, the public can stop by PNC Field to autograph their name on the beam, forever proclaiming the building as the community's ballpark for as long as it stands.
"Since day one, we have consistently said that PNC Field is the community's ballpark," said President and General Manager Rob Crain. "This event gives our fans a unique way to forever put their mark, literally, on the crown jewel of NEPA."
The beam signing is open to the general public and will be a casual event. Participants should report to the Trolley Barn Entrance (Media Entrance) and not the main entrance, as the construction area is closed to the general public.
