Austin Aztex News Release

AUSTIN, Texas (www.austinaztex.com) - Throughout this summer, the Austin Aztex are offering 18 locations for camp for youth soccer players ages 4-18. Under the Aztex direction, campers will learn valuable skills to practice and play like their favorite professional stars.

The Aztex offer 11 specialized programs for varying age groups and skill categories. While at camp, players will scrimmage, get individualized training from coaches, learn skill games and even have the opportunity to play in tournaments. There are even specialized camps for specific positions on the field, such as Advanced Shot Stopping, Art of Defending and Game Breakers, amongst others.

The Aztex have also aligned themselves with the Skillzys Stars Program as part of the campers' week-long curriculum. The program is designed to teach young campers essential LifeSkillz through the sport of soccer as they develop not only as a soccer player, but as a person. The LifeSkillz program teaches one new trait every day of the five-day week, including: sportsmanship, teamwork, attitude, respect and smiles. For every skill the young campers successfully accomplish for the day, they will earn a special Aztex badge.

In addition to the instruction throughout the week, all campers will also receive a full uniform and soccer ball, a sling backpack, lapel pin, a personalized player evaluation, autographs from the players and a ticket to an Aztex game on September 4 for Camper Reunion Night.

Camps begin on June 7 and run through August 13, with the option of going for a half day or for an entire day throughout the week.
