Pittsburgh Power Release Three New Commercials

February 24, 2011 - Arena Football League (AFL)
Pittsburgh Power News Release

The Pittsburgh Power officially unveiled their new commercials this week to air immediately on broadcast and cable television, as well as on various internet sites. The new commercials are titled "Four Stages (in both :30 seconds, and :60 seconds) and "Hibernate". "Four Stages" is a comic look at the stages of grief for a football fan after the season has ended while "Hibernate" spoofs nature programming and features a man after the season ends heading into hibernation until next season. Both commercials then reveal that football is not over, as the Pittsburgh Power, and the Arena Football League is there to "save" these fans from the traditional off-season.

Team Owner and General Manager, Matt Shaner, remarked "these spots, born from a brief brainstorming session, really were brought to life by our agency who really took the ball and ran with it". Shaner also commented, "We sought to identify with the sports fanatic and their emotions, and do so in a lighthearted non-traditional way which was different and more memorable, as well as impactful, than your everyday sporting event commercial."

The new commercials can be viewed at PittsburghPowerFootball.com.
