
Philadelphia's Chris Jackson Named 2008 Offensive Player of the Year

NEW YORK - Philadelphia Soul WR CHRIS JACKSON (6-2, 200, Washington St.) was selected as the 2008 Offensive Player of the Year as voted by AFL head coaches, fans, players and the Arena Football League Writers Association, the League announced today.
Jackson, who earned All-Arena First Team honors two weeks ago, led the AFL in receiving touchdowns (49) and first downs (111) while ranking second in receptions (140), receiving yards (1,719), scoring (294 points) and yards from scrimmage (1,717).
Jackson tied for the League lead among receivers with two games of six-or-more receiving touchdowns while becoming the first player in AFL history to earn Offensive Player of the Year honors with two teams. He also won the award in 2003 as a member of the Los Angeles Avengers.
Other candidates included: Orlando WR T.T. TOLIVER, Philadelphia QB MATT D'ORAZIO and Utah QB JOE GERMAINE.
