Philadelphia Charge News Release

San Diego

Kevin Crow On the wide-open play of the 2nd half: "I think the game opened up a little bit on both sides and became a little undisciplined on both sides and unfortunately we were on the wrong end of [being] undisciplined."

On the Charge's quick strikes: "They got three goals that basically were generated off of crosses. All season long we tended to fall asleep for very short periods of times and it really hurts you."

Jen Mascara On her team's feeling after tying the game 1-1: "We definitely believe in our team and that we were still in the game."

On Philly's defense: "They have four great athletes in the back and on a field so small they just

kind of cover the territory so well. It's so hard to find people and on the

few through-balls that we found it was such a small field that they used it to their advantage I think."

Philly

Mark Krikorian On his team's success on corner kicks: "It's refreshing to see that the time spent on those things actually helps."

On using Zhao Lihong on the corner kicks in the second half: "Actually we wanted to have Lihong take the corners in the first half too, but apparently I didn't communicate it well enough. But in the second half we got it right."

On Zhao's improved play: "As Lihong has become more comfortable with the team and as the team has found out exactly how talented she is, I think that she is showing day in and day out the class and the level that she plays out. She is playing great for us down the stretch.

Zhao Lihong On her improved play: "After all the practices and the games, I feel a lot better with the team."

Stacey Tullock On her first career goal: "Well, it was off a corner. I got in the six like I always do. It usually slips by but this time it came right where I was and I was able to get up and over everyone to put it in."
