Phantoms Team With Local Media to Give Away Ringside Pavlik Tickets

YOUNGSTOWN, OH (Tuesday, February 17th, 2009) - The Mahoning Valley Phantoms are partnering with WFMJ TV 21 and Newsradio 570 WKBN to give away tickets to Friday's Phantoms game and ringside tickets for Saturday's World Middleweight Title fight between Kelly Pavlik and Marco Antonio Rubio.
All through this week, fans can win tickets to Friday's Phantoms game against the Motor City Machine by logging onto WFMJ.com and signing up to win, or by listening to Newsradio 570 WKBN and calling in when cued.
Fans who win tickets from the two media outlets will then be registered to win two ringside seats-valued at $500 each-for Saturday's title bout. Winners of the fight tickets will be announced during the third period of Friday night's game; contestants must be present to win.
There will be separate drawings for contestants from WFMJ TV 21 and Newsradio 570 WKBN, giving fans who win Phantoms tickets a great chance at being able to sit ringside for Saturday's title fight.
In addition to this promotion, all fans in attendance for Friday's Phantoms-Machine game will receive a raffle ticket when they walk into the Chevrolet Centre. Fans will fill out their information and turn in the ticket in the Centre's lobby or at the Phantoms Team Shop.
During the third period, an additional winner of two ringside seats will be drawn from those raffle tickets. The e-mail address of the winning ticket must be validated before tickets are awarded.
"We are proud to know that a lucky Phantoms Hockey fan will win a pair of $500 ringside seats at this Friday night's Phantoms hockey game and rally for Kelly Pavlik," says Bruce J. Zoldan, Phantoms Team President.
Friday's game is part of the Phantoms' pre-fight series with the Machine, leading up to Kelly Pavlik's World Middleweight Title bout with Marco Antonio Rubio on Saturday, February 21st.
The contest will be preceded by Pavlik's hydration weigh-in and a pre-fight rally for the Youngstown native's title fight at the Centre starting at 6:45 PM. Fans only need their ticket to the Phantoms-Machine game to be a part of the weigh-in and rally.
Special group rate tickets are available for groups of 20 or more for $6 per ticket. The Phantoms are also offering a special Knockout Package for the Pavlik fight including the last remaining ringside seats for $550.
The Phantoms are also offering the ringside seats by themselves for $500 each.
