PHANTOMS' FETZER COMMITS TO MIAMI OF OHIO

BOARDMAN, OH (Thursday, February 5, 2004) -- The Youngstown Phantoms Junior-A hockey club announced today that defenseman Charley Fetzer has accepted a scholarship to play for Miami University of Ohio next season. The announcement was made by Bob Mainhardt, the General Manager and Head Coach of the Phantoms.

SIMS NAMED NAHL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF WEEK

BOARDMAN, OH (Wednesday, February 4) -- The North American Hockey League has announced goaltender Tyler Sims of the Youngstown Phantoms was named North Division Defensive Player of the Week for the week that ended on Sunday, February 1. It marks the third time this season the 6-foot, 180-pounder from Sinking Spring, PA, has won the award. The first time was in late November and the second was mid-January.
