Peoria's nine-point defeat last week was the closest to a victory they have had since they lost by seven in Week 4 to Ohio Valley. Wide receiver Phil Taylor Jr. has been the rock of the Rough Rider offense this season. Taylor is tied for seventh in the UIF in pass receptions with 41. He has also compiled 407 receiving yards and five receiving touchdowns to go along with 67 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns. One position that has not been stable for the Rough Riders is quarterback. Peoria has seen five different players take snaps this season. Sioux Falls became the first team in the UIF to clinch a playoff berth with their victory over Omaha. The Storm allowed their second most points of the season last week (38), but are still allowing the least amount of points per game in the UIF with 27.8. Storm Quarterback Terrance Bryant is completing 61% of his passes, which ranks second in the UIF. Ken Horton is leading the team in reception with 32, while hauling in seven touchdowns. With a win and a Rock River loss, Sioux Falls will clinch a first-round bye in the UIF Playoffs.
