Penn FC Signs Jacob Lissek

Harrisburg, PA - Penn FC announced Thursday that goalkeeper Jacob Lissek will continue his USL career in the Pennsylvania state capital. Pending USL and USSF approval, Lissek will be the first Rush Soccer alum to join Penn FC in 2018.

"Jacob is a great addition to the Penn FC roster," says Penn FC General Manager and Rush Soccer President and CEO Tim Schulz. "He has always been a team player and is willing to do what it takes to help his squad succeed."

Lissek brings professional experience to the Harrisburg team. Prior to signing with Penn FC, he spent two years with OKC Energy FC of the USL. His time with the Western Conference club included a loan spell with their MLS affiliate, FC Dallas in 2017. Lissek's professional career started in 2015, when we played for the Charlotte Independence of the USL.

Lissek was a member of Fairleigh Dickinson University's Division I soccer program. While with the Knights, he earned a program record of 26 clean sheets while compiling a 39-21-12 record. Lissek made the final save in a shootout to clinch the Northeast Conference Championship in 2012 against Saint Francis University. He was named to the NEC All-Tournament Team in 2011 and 2012, and he received All-North Atlantic Region Third Team recognition from the NSCAA.

The Highlands Ranch, Colorado native played for the Colorado Rush academy from 2008-10 and is excited to help build the connection between the renowned youth organization and the professional team.

"I am looking forward to playing under the Rush organization again," stated Lissek. " It is an incredible honor to be a part of the first team and I am looking forward to the season."

Lissek is the second goalkeeper signed to Penn FC for the 2018 season. The roster is as follows:
