PBL League Office to Work with Montreal to Resolve Weekend Games
Published on March 2, 2009 under Premier Basketball League (PBL) News Release
Chicago IL...The Premier Basketball League has indicated that the league office will be meeting and working with the ownership group from Montreal to resolve the problems that occurred this weekend.
"As we have stated, the Montreal group attempted to make a last minute adjustment in an effort to ensure that the scheduled games were played," stated PBL CEO Thomas Doyle. "While the efforts were appreciated, all involved realize that PBL games must comply with certain standards. It is for this reason that we will be working closely with Montreal to make sure all conditions necessary to host a game are met. We will resolve the situation and inform all of the teams and media as soon as we do" added Doyle. Media reports about forfeits and what the PBL has, or will do, are without merit and were never made by PBL officials."
