August 10, 2020 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
Miami FC News Release
MIAMI - The Miami FC announced on Monday that Paul Dalglish is the Head Coach of Miami FC for the remainder of the 2020 season. Paul replaces Nelson Vargas, who became Head Coach in 2019.
"We want to thank Nelson for leading the club during these recent times," said Dalglish. "The first half of our last game against Tampa Bay showcased what we want this team to be and we plan on building on the foundations laid by Nelson in 2020. We need to continue to focus on what has made this club so successful in these recent years."
Dalglish joined Miami FC prior to the start of the 2018 season. Under his guidance, the team captured three trophies during the 2018 season, including the Sunshine Conference Championship, South Region Championship and NPSL National Championship. Dalglish went on to win the NPSL National Championship and NISA East Coast Championship in 2019 before becoming the President & General Manager of the club in November of that same year.
Miami FC travels to St. Petersburg to face the Tampa Bay Rowdies this upcoming Sunday, with kickoff at Al Lang Stadium set for 7:30 p.m. You can catch all the action live on ESPN+.
