PASL-Pro Releases Eastern, Western Division Schedules

9/29/10 - The Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL-Pro) announced its 2010/11 regular season schedule for its Eastern and Western Division teams today. The full schedules for the new Pro Frontier Division and the Canadian Major Indoor Soccer League will be released shortly.

The third PASL-Pro season will blast off on Friday November 12 when the Louisville Lightning host the Cincinnati Kings. Louisville finished their first season in the league last year with a 10-6 record and swiftly became Cincinnati's chief nemesis.

The four returning Eastern Division teams include the Detroit Waza, Louisville, Cincinnati, and the Ohio Vortex. Cincinnati, the two-time defending Eastern Division champs, are moving into the spacious Cincinnati Gardens this season after going 16-0 the last two years at home at the intimate Game Time Training Center. The Vortex will play their entire season at the Canton Civic Center after splitting time at two venues last year.

The Western Division sees the return of Sunshine State rivals California Cougars and the defending North American Champion San Diego Sockers. They are joined by Revolucion Tijuana and the Tacoma Stars.

Each Eastern and Western team will play a 16-game schedule and the season concludes with Detroit playing a doubleheader at the CMISL's Winnipeg Alliance on March 6.

For the first time, the Eastern and Western Division teams will have no regular season games scheduled against PASL-Premier amateur teams.

The Sockers will also defend their US Open championship. The national tournament returns for the third year with a series of qualifying tournaments. On December 4, the PASL-Pro teams will join the bracket, facing qualifying tournament winners.

"We are right on track in our third year as a league," said PASL-Pro Commissioner Kevin Milliken. "We are growing in all facets and I couldn't be more excited about the 2010/11 season.
