Dunedin, FL - JoJo Parker launched his 12th home run of the season, but the Dunedin Blue Jays fell 6-3 in 10 innings to the St. Lucie Mets on Saturday night at TD Ballpark in game five of a six-game set.
KEY PERFORMERS
RHP Denis Samudio (5 IP, 2 R, 6 H, 3 BB, 6 K) allowed two runs in the first and concluded his outing by hurling four shutout frames.
Samudio has allowed two runs or less in each of his last three starts.
SS JoJo Parker (2-for-5, HR, 2 RBI, R) launched a game-tying two-run blast in the 6th at 114.2 MPH, 446 feet, his 12th of the year and Dunedin's hardest and furthest hit ball this season.
Parker also lined a single in the 1st at 102.7 MPH.
Over his last four games, the Blue Jays No. 1 prospect is 8-for-20 (.400) with three home runs, nine RBI, and a 1.379 OPS.
MLB's No. 27 prospect has a hit and RBI in six straight.
Saturday marked Parker's 19th multi-hit game and team-leading 17th multi-RBI game of the season.
Six of his last eight balls hit in play have left the bat at 100+ MPH.
The mammoth blast was the second-hardest hit home run by a Dunedin Blue Jay in the Statcast era and fifth furthest tracked home run.
1B Ryan Franden (1-for-3, 2B, BB) smacked a double in the 7th for his first professional hit and walked.
