Panthers Announce New TV Deal on ABC

ALBANY, Georgia - The 2011 Champion Albany Panthers announced Tuesday that local station WALB-TV will serve as the team's broadcast partner for the 2012 Professional Indoor Football League season. As part of the agreement, all of Panthers'home games will be broadcast via tape delay on WALB-TV.

"This is a great deal for Albany sports fans, as our games will extend and reach football enthusiasts beyond the metro area," Albany Panthers General Manager Will Carter said. "WALB has shown a great commitment to sports in Albany, and we are proud to have them as broadcast partners for our highly-anticipated 2012 season."

WALB-TV will rebroadcast all Panthers home games for the 2012 season at a date and time to be determined.

"We are very proud to add the Albany Panthers to our local sports footprint on WALB," said Jim Wilcox, General Manager of WALB-TV. "We are very excited to be able to carry these football games locally, as well as interviews and a variety of content that will bring not only Albany, but Southwest Georgia much closer to our local professional football franchise. We are dedicating our resources to bring even more local sporting events to WALB, and there is no doubt that Albany Panthers are a cornerstone of our lineup."
