In game two, the Paints took an early lead with four runs in the second inning on four hits and two errors. Smith singled to start the inning and Collin Luty reached on a mishandled grounder by the Miners shortstop. Bacon put down a bunt and beat it out for a hit, the throw was wild, allowing Smith and Luty to score, sending Bacon to third. Joe Laudont tripled, scoring Bacon. Laudont scored on a base hit by Cody Orr.
The Miners cut the lead in half in the fifth inning. Clayton Mehlbauer led off with a double, then Ross Mulhall and Jonathan Pasillas were both hit by pitches, loading the bases. Matt Rubayo drove home two with a single, making it a 4-2 game.
One batter into the sixth, lightning was detected close to the stadium, halting play and eventually putting an end to the game and giving the Paints a 4-2 win.
