June 3, 2018 - Prospect League (Prospect)
Chillicothe Paints News Release

The Paints hosted and beat the Champion City Kings in the last game of a three-game homestand Sunday at VA Memorial Stadium. Champion City put three quick runs on the board in the first inning, but the Paints returned the favor, scoring five in the second after a Kings' error extended the inning.

The Kings continued to score one run in the fifth, sixth and seventh innings. The Paints again came back and scored two in the eighth. The ninth inning was blank for both the Paints and Kings.

The Paints Highlighted Player is pitcher Michael Jacob. Jacob pitched five innings, striking out eight, walking one and gave up one hit. The Paints now travel to Butler, Pa. to play the Butler Bluesox Monday and Tuesday, before returning home Wednesday for a two-game series with the Hannibal Hoots.
