
Pacific Association Honors Top Defenders with 2018 Gilded Gloves

SONOMA, Calif. - The Pacific Association of Professional Baseball Clubs has announced its winners of the Gilded Glove Awards for the 2018 season.
The Gilded Glove recognizes players defensive prowess at their position, and is voted on league front office personnel, managers, coaches and broadcasters.

This is the second consecutive defensive honor for the Vallejo Admirals Chris Fornaci. Pitcher Billy Felo and first baseman Josh Montelongo represent the Napa Silverados, who enjoyed a successful inaugural season during the 2018 campaign.
Daniel Comstock of the Sonoma Stompers becomes the fifth consecutive Stompers catcher to win defensive honors. The league began awarding such honors in 2014. He joins Andrew Parker (2014), Isaac Wenrich (2015, '17), and Mason Morioka (2016).
The 2018 Pacific Association champion San Rafael Pacifics were well represented by a trio of short stop Rando Moreno, and outfielders Javion Randle and DonAndre Clark.
The Association's next announcement is due Wednesday, as it reveals the 2018 Rookie of the Year.
