Owensboro Rage Honor Eddie Cronin with Victory "Drill" the Kentucky Drillers 52-18 at Home

(Owensboro, KY)- The Owensboro Rage (1-0) start the Continental Indoor Football League regular season with a home victory over the Kentucky Drillers (0-1) by a score of 52 to 18 at the Ramada Inn Field at the Next Level Sports Facility. Prior to kick-off there was a memorial service to honor fallen General Manager and Coach Eddie Cronin who died in the off season.
The Rage was lead by former University of Louisville quarterback Bill Ashburn who went 11 for 21 with five touchdown passes, adding one rushing while throwing only one interception on the night. Rage receiver Damarcus Ganaway had 6 receptions for 36 yards with two touchdowns while Dray Masson had four catches for 80 yards with three touchdown catches. Masson also added a ten yard touchdown run.
On Defense Quadarius Wallace capped off the night with three interceptions for 77 return yards while making 4 solo tackles with two assists to lead all Rage defenders. Rodney Morris had a sack for a 12 yard loss. Owensboro Rage Head Coach Mike Goodpaster said that tonight was a win for Eddie Cronin, but noted that there are plenty of opportunities for improvement across the board. "This team has plenty of room to improve before we can reach our full potential."
