PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Soul concluded another impressive open tryout, drawing over 300 prospective players to the Philadelphia Eagles' NovaCare Complex in South Philadelphia on Saturday.

"This was a tremendous turnout," said Soul Head Coach, Clint Dolezel. "Not only did we draw a huge number but we were very pleased with the level of talent. I'm looking forward to discussing where some of the more talented players today could fit on our team."

The day was also highlighted by those who attended to watch the tryout: current Soul owner and former Philadelphia Eagles' quarterback, Ron Jaworski, Soul owner and current New Orleans Saints' wide receiver Marques Colston, Eagles' new head coach, Doug Pederson, as well as the current Soul coaching staff and current players on the 2016 Soul roster.

Every season, the Soul have found players that have been invited to training camp. There are five players on the current roster that were discovered at opens tryouts. The most notable over the years: WRs Ryan McDaniel and Harvey Binford, 2015 Kicker of the Year, Tommy Frevert, Millersville's Sean Scott and Penn State's Jerome Hayes. In the 2015 season, McDaniel recorded a career high 114 catches for 1,277 yards and 29 touchdowns. Binford, in his rookie season with the team last year, caught 34 passes for 412 yards and 7 touchdowns.

Soul players report for training camp on March 11, and the 2016 season kicks off on April 1st vs Division rivals Cleveland Gladiators in Cleveland.
