Orlando Storm TE Shawn Bowman Signs with Arizona Cardinals

ORLANDO, FL - Orlando Storm tight end Shawn Bowman has signed a contract with the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League, the team announced today. Fellow UFL alumnus Eugene Assante, who played for the Houston Gamblers, also signed with Arizona.
Bowman becomes the fifth Orlando player to sign an NFL contract since the season concluded. He joins defensive end Keshawn Banks (Atlanta Falcons), wide receiver Cam Camper (New York Jets), running back Jashaun Corbin (Dallas Cowboys), and cornerback D.J. James (New York Giants) as Orlando players to earn NFL contracts.
Bowman played in all 10 games for the Storm in 2026, recording seven receptions for 53 yards. The 6-foot-4, 249-pound tight end also saw action in Orlando's postseason appearance.
Bowman joined Orlando after spending the previous two seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He originally signed with Jacksonville as an undrafted free agent in 2024 and spent the entire regular season on the Jaguars' practice squad. He signed a reserve/futures contract with Jacksonville following the 2024 season and returned to the team in 2025 before being waived during final roster cuts.
A native of Bear, Delaware, Bowman played collegiately at Maine and Rutgers. He was a two-time All-CAA selection at Maine and finished his collegiate career with 90 receptions for 984 yards and 11 touchdowns in 47 games. At Rutgers, Bowman played in all 13 games in 2023, making four starts and recording four receptions for 24 yards.
The Orlando Storm retain the rights to Bowman should he return to the UFL in the future.
