Huntsville Stars News Release
This Saturday, the Huntsville Stars will be holding "Operation Clean Sweep, Part 2." The original Operation Clean Sweep was held on March 22nd.
"We had over 100 people help out in March," explained Stars GM Buck Rogers. "It was amazing. We got a lot accomplished and we're hoping to do the same this Saturday."
Clean Sweep 2 will consist of general cleaning, light landscaping, and painting. It will give fans the chance to help bring pride back to 'The Joe,' and become part of the organization. Not only will the Stars reward volunteers with ticket packages like they did in March, they will also treat them to a hotdog tasting.
Fans will be able to taste test an assortment of different hotdogs and vote to decide which one will become the offcial hotdog of Joe Davis Stadium for the 2009 season.
The work begins Saturday morning at 9:00 am at Joe Davis Stadium. Fans are encouraged to bring their own tools, garden tools, and work gloves. Food and beverages will be served, and ticket packages will be rewarded in coordination with the amount of work performed.
