(Rochester, NY) -- The Rochester Lancers today announced recently named FIFA World Player of the Year, Abby Wambach, who just last night scored in her 200th career international match, will make her first appearance in Rochester since both monumental achievements. She will be honored on the field prior to the Lancers game on February 24th at 4pm.
Wambach will serve as the Lancers Honorary Captain of the game and perform the ceremonial first kick. She will also speak to the crowd at halftime. A VIP autograph session will be available to fans from 2:30 to 3:30pm at the Blue Cross Arena that purchase a Lancers 3-pack for the remaining 3 home games for $75. There are now only 75 available. The first 100 season ticket holders that renew their seats will also receive a pass.
