Published on April 13, 2010 under American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release

Oklahoma City, OK. The ABA Oklahoma Stallions scheduled to begin play next season today announced that it will hold its first tryout camp on Saturday April 17th from 4-8pm at Langston University, West Highway 33 in Langston OK. The Oklahoma Stallions' staff and coaches will be on hand for the camp; players will have additional quality instruction and evaluation. Included in the staff are owner Kelli King and Coach Kelly Henderson. "We anticipate a great turnout for the event and an even better inaugural season here in Oklahoma," said King. "With the people that we have surrounding and supporting us, we look for positive results in the near future."

"Currently, we are looking for 15 players for our 2010 exhibition season for the Lonestar Professional Basketball League, the ABA's summer league in the southwest," added Henderson. "We currently do not have any players under contract; players will be under contract and will be paid through the course of the season per game and selected players will have other opportunities provided to them as well."

"Along with athletic ability and skill, players will be observed in a number of areas. We are excited about the opportunity that we are prepared to extend to athletes that meet our criteria," continued King. "Select players from the tryout will be given a chance to lay against the current ABA players and invited to training camp in mid-October to compete for 15 contracted player spots. This is the opportunity of a lifetime and you owe it to yourself to test your ability against some of the best players in Oklahoma City and surrounding states."
