Ohio Machine Set to Host First Responders Night
COLUMBUS, Ohio- The Ohio Machine will face the Atlanta Blaze and host First Responders Night Presented By Ohio Health on Saturday, July 21 at Fortress Obetz. The event will run alongside Shootout For Soldiers to honor and recognize those who work tirelessly to protect the community and our nation.
The first 2,500 fans to arrive will receive a limited-edition Ohio Machine Rally Towel presented by Ohio Health.
The day will feature a bomb squad vehicle, two fire engines, two medic vehicles, and a crash truck from both Hamilton and Madison Township on display for fan interaction. Fans are encouraged to arrive to the game early as the vehicles will be on display when gates open at 4:30 p.m. and will leave at halftime. The Obetz Police Department will also be on-site.
Along with pre-game events, first responders will be taking part in on-field activities, serving as the national anthem singer and color guard.
The coaches and players of the Ohio Machine and their opponent, the Atlanta Blaze, will be taking part in recognizing those brave men and women who protect our country. In addition to the Machine game, Fortress Obetz and the surrounding fields will host a full day of lacrosse. The game will be featured as a part of Shootout For Soldiers Ohio, a 24-hour lacrosse fundraising event that supports American veterans and uses the sport to foster community engagement. Games will continue after the Machine finish throughout the night and into the early morning.
Following the game, the team will also host the Ohio Machine Post-Game Party Presented by Gosling's Ginger Beer at Callahan's. Callahan's will create a special drink price for their Dark N' Stormy drinks, and anyone who purchases Goslings' products can come over to the Goslings' table on the rooftop and enter to win a 2017 championship ring.
