
Ohio Machine Lacrosse Foundation Announces Advisory Board

Columbus, Ohio - The Machine have announced the formation of the Ohio Machine Lacrosse Foundation Advisory Board, which includes Dr. Earl Bartley, Jeff Byars, Dave Hughes, Pennie Wilfong and Bill Wolford. Each member has ties to the game of lacrosse in Central Ohio, and will assist in promoting the Foundation and ensure equitable distribution of grants and scholarships.
"As the Ohio Machine Lacrosse Foundation continues to grow, it is vital that it has the guidance of individuals that are passionate about the growth of the game," Team President Ryan Chenault said. "I would like to thank each of the members of the board for their time, dedication and support in ensuring that the Ohio Machine Lacrosse Foundation fulfills its mission to its fullest."
Dr. Bartley is an orthopedic surgeon at OhioHealth. He received his undergraduate degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he played varsity lacrosse.
Byars currently serves as the Associate Director for Donor Services and Development for the Columbus Foundation, and has more than 20 years of professional nonprofit and fundraising experience, and has children who grew up playing lacrosse.
Hughes is a police sergeant for Columbus Police. He is a lacrosse enthusiast, his children play lacrosse in Hilliard, and he is active in the youth lacrosse scene.
In her 25-year career, Wilfong has conceived and directed new product launches, national sales conferences, recognition meetings, press events, analyst and shareholder meetings, as well as stand-alone film & video projects. She is a lacrosse enthusiast, and is the mother of Pitt lacrosse head coach Zach Wilfong.
Wolford has coached boys' and girls' lacrosse for more than 30 years, including head coaching positions at Upper Arlington High School (1987-1991), Worthington Kilbourne High School (1992-2006) and for the 2003 Korean U-19 National Team. He currently serves as the director of Max Elite Lacrosse, as well as an assistant coach for the girls lacrosse team at Worthington Kilbourne High School.
