COLUMBUS, Ohio (April 22, 2013) - The Ohio Machine (Machine), Ohio's professional lacrosse team in Major League Lacrosse (MLL), announced today its 2013 regular season roster with only 10 days left until the 2013 Home Opener on Saturday, May 4.

The 2013 roster consists of four goalies, nine defenders, 10 midfielders, six attackmen and two face-off specialists. The 2013 roster also includes five former The Ohio State University lacrosse players with defensemen Greg Bice and Matt Cafarelli, attackman Mario Ventiquattro, face-off specialist Eric O'Brien and goalkeeper Stefan Schroder.

The Machine welcomes back 21 players from the 2012 roster including 2012 Ohio Machine MVP and 2012 All-MLL defenseman Kyle Hartzell and 2012 Ohio Machine Offensive Player of the Year Chazz Woodson. Hartzell is currently playing in the National Lacrosse League (NLL) and is able to join the team, along with Kiel Matisz and Chad Wiedmaier, at the end of the 2013 NLL season in May.

Steele Stanwick is also coming back as one the top attackmen for the team following up his rookie season after tallying 11 goals and 17 assists for a total of 28 points in only nine games. The 2011 Tewaaraton recipient Stanwick led the Machine, as well as MLL rookies, in assists and was fourth on the team for points.

The Machine added nine new players to its roster, including Colgate midfielder and the Machine's first pick in the 2013 MLL Supplemental Draft Jeff Ledwick. Ledwick helped lead Colgate University to the 2012 NCAA Quarterfinals as team captain. In 2012, Ledwick started in all 18 games of his senior season as a midfielder and finished the season third on his team with 47 points from 32 goals and 15 assists. Ledwick also led the team and the Patriot League with nine man-up goals, while collecting 14 groundballs and forcing two turnovers. In addition, he earned several honors including 2012 USILA All-America Honorable Mention and 2012 All-Patriot League First Team, as well as being selected to play in the USILA/Lax World Division I-II North-South Senior All Star Game.

The Machine opens up its season at home on Saturday, May 4, against the Denver Outlaws. The "OSU Sports Medicine Night" Home Opener will include exclusive giveaways and post-game fireworks.
