COLUMBUS, Ohio (November 9, 2011) - The Ohio Machine (Machine), which begins its inaugural season in Major League Lacrosse (MLL) in May 2012, announced today a multi-year partnership with the Holiday Inn Columbus Downtown Capitol Square (Holiday Inn Downtown) as the Preferred Team Hotel of the Ohio Machine.

The hotel will house the Machine players and coaches each home game weekend, as well as away teams, for the 2012 and 2013 seasons. As part of the partnership, Holiday Inn Downtown will also offer exclusive rates for Machine fans during Machine home game weekends.

"We're thrilled to add the Holiday Inn Columbus Downtown Capitol Square as an inaugural season partner of the Ohio Machine," said Machine President and GM John Algie. "As the Preferred Team Hotel of the Ohio Machine, they will provide our players and fans with first-class service right in the heart of downtown Columbus, where they are able to enjoy everything that the city has to offer."

The newly-renovated Holiday Inn Downtown has been serving the greater Columbus area since 1966 and houses more than 6,000 square feet of meeting space, as well as 240 guest rooms.

"We are extremely excited about our new partnership with the Ohio Machine for the 2012 and 2013 seasons," said Holiday Inn Downtown Director of Sales Grant Bain. "This is a great opportunity for the Holiday Inn Columbus Downtown to be a part of the newest addition to the Columbus sports community."

Holiday Inn Downtown joins Columbus Paper and Copy Supply (CPCS) and Yellow Book as inaugural season sponsors of the Machine. The Machine will be making additional inaugural season partnership announcements in the near future.

The Machine has made a number of recent trades with several MLL teams acquiring five players, including The Ohio State University alums Greg Bice, Anthony Kelly and Stefan Schroder. The team will have more opportunities to obtain players during the MLL Expansion Draft on December 7 and the MLL Supplemental Draft on December 14. The Machine also holds two picks in the first round of the 2012 MLL Collegiate Draft on January 13, including the second overall pick.

Season ticket deposits are available now for only $20.12 with season ticket packages being announced soon. Most of the 2012 inaugural season tickets will be priced at just $100 for all seven home games and can be purchased at www.theohiomachine.com/tickets.
