COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio Machine have announced the addition of midfielder Carlson Milikin from the collegiate inactive list. The fourth-round pick was selected 36th overall by the Machine in the 2018 MLL Draft.

Milikin, who played for both the University of Virginia and the University of Notre Dame during his collegiate career, is an All-ACC short stick defensive midfielder. At Virginia, Milikin picked up 35 ground balls and 13 caused turnovers. After recovering from a season-ending injury suffered in his first season with Notre Dame, Milikin came back to play in all 15 games for the Fighting Irish during the 2018 campaign. He went on to recover nine ground balls and force nine turnovers in his final season while refusing to give up a single turnover.

"Carlson had an incredible career at Notre Dame. He is a big, strong, and physical defensive midfielder, which you have to be to survive in this league," head coach Bear Davis said. "We are excited about what he brings to the table and to see how he stacks up against some of the premiere midfielders in our league."

In a corresponding move, the Machine have added Casey Dowd to the practice squad.
