City of Mississauga to unveil Ridgeway Community Courts funded by MLSE Foundation, Canadian Tire Jumpstart and Rotary Club of Mississauga West (Friday, October 7), 3570/3590 Colonial Drive, Mississauga
About: On Friday, October 7, the City of Mississauga is set to unveil its new outdoor multisport court located at Springfield Gardens. The court was developed to bring youth of all ages together in a common area to play and enjoy sports. To help with the construction of the court, the City received two community grants: $225,000 from MLSE Foundation and Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities and $50,000 from the Rotary Club of Mississauga West.

Toronto Maple Leafs Thanksgiving visit to Covenant House Toronto (Monday, October 10)
About: On Monday, October 10, Toronto Maple Leafs players James van Riemsdyk and Peter Holland will visit Covenant House Toronto to deliver non-perishable and canned goods donated by the team and meet the youth at the shelter. As Canada's largest homeless youth agency, Covenant House Toronto changes lives by providing the widest range of services and support under one roof. More than a place to stay, they serve youth through their 24/7 crisis shelter and transitional housing as well as education, counselling, health care, employment assistance, job training and aftercare services. Note: Media are asked to refrain from promoting this event before 2:30 p.m. on October 10 as it is a private opportunity.
Raptors Basketball Clinic during Jr. NBA Week (Friday, October 14), Air Canada Centre
About: As part of Jr. NBA Week, the Toronto Raptors will invite 50 youth from Driftwood Elementary School to participate in a one hour clinic with Raptors sport development coaches. Jr. NBA Week is a league-wide initiative that encourages more youth to play basketball.

Toronto FC SickKids visit (Thursday, October 20), The Hospital for Sick Children
About: On Thursday, October 20, Toronto FC will participate in their 10th annual full team visit to The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids). TFC players will meet with patients, hand out gifts and sign autographs. Note: Media are asked to refrain from promoting this event before 2:30 p.m. on October 20 as it is a private opportunity.
Toronto Raptors Coaches Open House presented by BMO (Sunday, October 23), Air Canada Centre
About: The annual Toronto Raptors Coaches Open House presented by BMO is back on Sunday, October 23. It is a free half-day clinic that offers coaches of all levels across Ontario a unique opportunity to watch, listen and learn from the pros. Attendees will have the opportunity to observe on-court drill demonstrations from Raptors coaching staff and listen to a keynote speech from head coach Dwane Casey. This cost-free clinic is open to all local coaches.

Raps City Social presented by Bell (Monday, November 7), Real Sports Bar & Grill
About: On Monday, November 7, Real Sports Bar & Grill will open its doors in red-carpet style for Raps City Social presented by Bell. This exclusive event will give guests the opportunity to mix and mingle with Raptors players, alumni and front office personnel. All net proceeds from the event will benefit MLSE LaunchPad, MLSE Foundation's new Sport For Development facility set to open in 2017 at 261 Jarvis St. Note: this is a 19+ event.

Toronto FC Pro Player Clinic with Jozy Altidore (Sunday, October 2), Hangar Sport and Events Centre
About: Led by Toronto FC soccer development staff and featuring appearances by Toronto FC first team players, Pro Player Clinics are unique training sessions that offer an exciting opportunity for youth ages six to 14 to participate in themed half-day clinics at Kia Training Ground, official practice facility of Toronto FC. Each clinic is designed to assist players with improving their technical skills in a fun and positive environment. The October 2 clinic was the final of three clinics this season and featured a special guest appearance by striker Jozy Altidore.
MLSE Foundation receives the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Sports Award (Wednesday, September 28) Princeton, New Jersey
About: On Wednesday, September 28, MLSE Foundation was presented with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) Sports Award for their innovative and influential approaches to using sports to build a Culture of Health in their communities. MLSE Foundation joins The Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism and InnerCity Weightlifting as 2016 winners of the award.

Toronto FC/MLS Works Soccer Kicks Cancer Awareness Night (Wednesday, September 28), BMO Field
About: In support of Major League Soccer's Soccer Kicks Cancer initiative, Toronto FC held a childhood cancer awareness night on September 28 during the match versus Orlando City SC. The evening included hosting families from Holland Bloorview Children's Hospital, The Hospital for Sick Children and Camp Trillium, a camp for children with cancer and their families. In addition, the starting XI game worn and autographed jerseys were auctioned off in-game, with funds raised for Camp Trillium.
Toronto Raptors Training Camp (September 26 - October 2), Vancouver, BC
About: As part of the Toronto Raptors training camp in Vancouver, British Columbia, players and coaches had the opportunity to give back and grow the game of basketball through their Day of Service on Friday September 29 and clinics throughout the week. In addition to supporting and visiting various community services throughout the area, the team hosted basketball clinics in partnership with Basketball British Columbia for both youth teams and local schools.
Toronto Maple Leafs Training Camp (September 23-26) Halifax, Nova Scotia
About: As part of the Toronto Maple Leafs training camp in Halifax, Nova Scotia, current players and alumni had the opportunity to participate in several team-building activities which include a trip to CFB Halifax and a fishing excursion. In addition, the team raised $6,500 for KidSport Nova Scotia through ticket sales and a community barbecue.
Leafs and Legends Centennial Golf Classic presented by Scotiabank (Monday, September 12), RattleSnake Point Golf Club
About: On Monday, September 12, the Toronto Maple Leafs and MLSE Foundation hosted the Leafs and Legends Centennial Golf Classic presented by Scotiabank. Tournament participants had the opportunity to mingle with current Maple Leafs players, management and Leafs alumni while giving back to the community. The tournament raised $410K net, which will support MLSE LaunchPad, MLSE Foundation's 42,000 square foot youth Sport For Development facility set to open in 2017.
