JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp left fielder Peter O'Brien homered for a career-best fifth straight game, but the Biloxi Shuckers broke a 3-3 tie with a five-run seventh inning in an 11-4 win in front of 4,127 at Baptist Health Sunday Family FUNday, Autism Awareness Day and Princess Day at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville.

The Shuckers (38-25) took a 3-0 lead against Jacksonville right-hander Merandy Gonzalez. In the first inning, center fielder Corey Ray hit a leadoff double to right field and stole third base. Left fielder Troy Stokes Jr. walked, and shortstop Jake Hager hit a sacrifice fly. First baseman Jake Gatewood hit an RBI double to left-center field. Ray hit a third-inning leadoff double to right field and went to third base on a passed ball by catcher Rodrigo Vigil, before scoring when Hager grounded into a double play. Gonzalez worked five innings, allowing two earned runs on four hits and two walks with four strikeouts.

Jacksonville (25-36) tied the game with two outs in the bottom of the third inning. Biloxi right-hander Zack Brown hit Jumbo Shrimp All-Star center fielder Monte Harrison with a pitch and walked second baseman Isan Diaz, before O'Brien hit a three-run home run to left field, extending a five-game homer streak that is one shy of the Southern League record. Brown lasted five innings, allowing three earned runs on four hits and three walks with three strikeouts.

With a 3-3 tie in the top of the seventh inning, Jacksonville right-hander Max Duval (1-6) hit second baseman Blake Allemand with a pitch, right fielder Trent Grisham doubled to right field, and Duval's wild pitch scored Allemand. Left-hander Ben Holmes entered and walked pitcher Nick Ramirez (8-0). Ray hit an RBI single, and Hager hit a two-out, three-run home run - his fourth in three games in Jacksonville and fourth straight game with a home run. Already leading, 8-3, Shuckers third baseman Lucas Erceg and Allemand hit consecutive ninth-inning home runs off right-hander Marcus Crescentini for a three-run ninth inning. Ramirez went 1 2/3 shutout innings for his league-best eighth win, and right-hander Jon Olczak went 1 1/3 scoreless innings, before right-hander Miguel Sanchez allowed a ninth-inning RBI double to Diaz.
