Oakland Roots look to get off the mark in USL Championship against LA Galaxy II. Galaxy II are coming off a 1-1 draw against Sporting KC II on Wednesday night, taking the side to eight points from their first five games. This will be the first time the two clubs meet officially in the USL Championship, having met ahead of the 2020 season in a preseason match. Midfielder Jose Hernandez of Oakland Roots will be returning to play against his former club where he made 30 appearances in 2019.
