NWFA Week 6

Nashville, TN-The sixth week of play for the National Women's Football Association saw some surprises. The Columbus Flames (3-2) beat rival Baltimore Burn (3-2) in a hard fought battle 13-0. The Cleveland Fusion (4-1) beat the Indiana Thunder (0-5), The SW Michigan Jaguars (3-2) beat the Toledo Spitfire (1-4). Football great Roman Gabrielle was honored at half-time. The Pittsburgh Passion (2-3) beat the Eire Illusion (0-5) in a tightly contested battle. The Chattanooga Locomotion (5-0) beat division rival, the (3-2) Nashville Dream 41-8. The Locomotion now leads their division with a 5-0 record. Amanda Horner rushed for 189 yards and scored 4 touchdowns. The Locomotion had 386 yards in total offense. The Alabama Renegades (4-1) beat the Knoxville Summit (1-4) and the Asheville Assault (3-2) scored a victory over the Tennessee Venom (1-3). The Panama City Beach Rumble (3-2) showed their heart and soul and beat the Biloxi Herricanes (0-4). The Pensacola Power (5-0) again proved its talent with a win over the New Orleans Spice (2-3). The Maine Freeze (1-3) gained their first win over the Rochester Raptors (0-6) and The Mass Mutiny (4-1) beat the Crush (4-1). The OKC Lightning (4-0) beat the Denton Stampede. The St. Louis Slam (2-3) and the Kansas City Krunch (3-2) had a close game with the Slam winning 7-6.

This weekend will see match-ups between: Pittsburgh Passion @ Baltimore Burn, Oklahoma City Lightning @ Kansas City Krunch, Maine Freeze @ Rochester Raptors, Massachusetts Mutiny @ Philadelphia Phoenix, Alabama Renegades @ Atlanta Leopards, Knoxville Summit @ Asheville Assault (kickoff @ 12:00), Chattanooga Locomotion @ Tennessee Venom, Nashville Dream @ St. Louis Slam, Toledo Spitfire @ Cleveland, SW Michigan Jaguars @ Detroit Demolition, Erie Illusion @ DC Divas, Panama City Beach Rumble @ Pensacola Power, New Orleans Spice @ Biloxi Herricanes.
