NWFA to Have Ad in Super Bowl Program

Published on January 15, 2003 under National Women's Football Association (NWFA) News Release

The National Women's Football Association is pleased to announce that the league will have a presence at this year's NFL's Super Bowl.

The league will have a full page color ad in the 2003 official Super Bowl program. The ad was created by The Pittsburgh Sports Report. "This group did some wonderful ads for us for our championship game this past summer and when the opportunity came for us to have an ad in the NFL's Super Bowl program, they were our first call. The Super Bowl is the biggest sporting event on the planet and we're really excited about getting our league this kind of exposure," states VP of Media and Marketing, Debby Lening.

The National Women's Football Association is heading into its 3rd season with 30 teams. In addition to the Super Bowl ad, the league has just recently debuted it's history making women's football trading cards and signed a deal for TV coverage in 2004. Not bad for a league that started only 2 and a half years ago.
