NW Indiana Stars Name Head Coach

Northwest Indiana Stars News Release


Derrick Smith (general manager/co-owner) announces that Kenneth Miller (president/co-owner) has officially taken the position of head coach. "With fifteen years of professional basketball experience and running and coaching local AUU teams, he was a great candidate," said Smith. With ownership in the team, he will have the passion to drive players to reach their potential.

Two key players signed this week, Howard Little 6'3 guard from Valparaiso University and Keith Radchiff 6'1 guard from the University of Indianapolis.

Howard Little is a recent graduate of University of Valparaiso. He started his career as defensive specialists (eighth on the all-time Crusader steals list). In his final two seasons he average 12 points per game. "With a combination of being a scorer and defender, his talents were essential" stated Miller.

Mr. Radchiff was a late signee during the team 2010-11 seasons. Appearing only in the last two games of the season, His accuracy around the three-point line was impressive. During mini-camp and preseason games, his ability in playing the point guard position and courts awareness was impression. In his senior season, he averaged 17ppg, 2 steals per and shooting 82% from the foul line.
