North Texas Fresh Announces First Tryout Camp
Published on April 13, 2009 under American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release
Fort Worth, TX. The ABA North Texas Fresh, one of the many new ABA expansion teams that begin play in December has announced its first tryout camp scheduled for May 30, 2009. "With no players on the roster and the open opportunity for any player in the nation to get signed," said Jay Bowdy, team owner/CEO, "this makes this tryout camp very promising for those who sign up. We are looking for all types of talent. There is too much talent in the North Texas area for us not to have a competitive team, but I want everyone from everywhere to come to the tryouts and show me and the other coached involved what they have to offer."
"I've very pleased that we will have a coach from another ABA team at our tryouts to help evaluate players," added Bowdy." This will give each individual a chance to not only make our team, but possibly another ABA team. I'm all about what's best for our community and these athletes. I know I can't sign everyone but I know how it is as an athlete and if the potential is there they will get their show to have a North Texas Fresh uniform.
An online tryout form can be obtained by visiting www.northtexasfresh.com. The cost of the tryout is $120 for early entry fee for each player. Cost at a specific date afterwards will be $150. Players are to bring shorts and shoes and a North Texas Fresh shirt will be available once the form is completed and the payment processed. Lunch will also be provided.
